The Push Block Type Foundry was an exercise in creating a fictional type foundry with a suite of already existing typefaces and translating the brand of the foundry across a series of type specimens and website design.
The typefaces chosen for this project were Gotham, Archer, Knockout, Mercury, & Vendetta. Most of the typefaces posses evocative display qualities and function well at large sizes. This disposition towards display type lead me to create a type foundry that emphasized big, grand gestures of color and type.
